FAQ’s, Driscoll Edition

Being a private investigator means that no two cases are ever the same, however, we do get asked similar questions during many of our initial consultations. You should absolutely ask your investigator anything that might be of interest, especially since many of the cases that we see are very personal and rely on sensitive information to be handled appropriately. Here are a few questions that we often get, along with answers so you can be better prepared for whatever comes next with your case.

Question #1: What is your training background for this job?

Being a PI can involve a variety of training, so it’s best to understand the background of your investigator. In my case, I’m a retired police officer of over 20 years, where I handled both criminal and non-criminal cases. Now that I have been a licensed private investigator for a number of years, I have brought on a staff of other licensed PIs who are able to assist me on both large and small cases.

Question #2: What kinds of cases do you handle?

Our client case files span from child custody, to missing persons, to background checks and asset discovery, to infidelity, to insurance investigations and more. Whenever there is someone who needs information obtained discreetly and thoroughly, we can help. We’ve assisted people in countless legal cases, as well as done more behind-the-scenes work through background checks and low-level surveillance.

Question #3: How do you find the information I’m looking for?

With our level of training, we know what type of information to look for in each individual case, and that usually means paying attention to very specific details of our surveillance. We use the most updated technology to document photos and video, as well as conduct covert surveillance in public places, in order to gain access to the information our clients need. Since we’re firmly held within the restrictions of the law, we make sure that our tools and methods are very legal.

Question #4: How can you help me with my legal case after your investigation is complete?

We are often asked to work with our clients’ lawyers, and depending on what the case is, this can include testifying in a courtroom. Because we comply with all areas of the law, you can rest assured that any information we provide you can be used to help with your case.

Question #5: How much does it cost?

Since we provide services to a wide range of clients – from attorneys to insurance companies to small businesses – our programs can be tailored to fit your budget. We work on smaller cases, as well as large-scale investigations, and our goal is to give you an exceptional experience no matter the scope of the work.

Question #6: What’s the most interesting case you’ve worked on?

We love a good story, but our client privilege is even more important to us. Let’s just say handling complex cases is our specialty!
